The Hero’s Journey: Recycled

   An art-based interactive romp embodying our internal ally

Intention: This is ‘serious fun

 This half-day interactive art-based workshop is loosely based on the Hero’s Journey, a familiar story found across cultures. Examining our professional journey, we re-imagine our travel, the challenges and gifts while integrating new and recycled components, physical and metaphorical, as we create  mentorship and  alliance.  

To reflect

·  on how the needs and challenges  of our practice, grow, evolve and adapt 

· on how we show up and suit-up for our work, and the visual story that evolves

Together we: Co-Create

· Deconstruct and reconstruct metaphoric and symbolic representations that align with our vision of where we are in our life, or our vision of whatever role we inhabit; teacher,, mother, corporate leader,  helpers and healers and so on. 

· Challenge our resistance to breaking down less productive ways

· Communally  share resources ( recycled children’s toys and stories)

· Resurrect, transform and DREAM the weary hero renewed

EXPECTED OUTCOMES: 

· The development of a circle or Heroes and their magical mentor-sidekicks 

· LAUGHTER, FUN, AND CREATIVITY as well as deeper introspection active romp focused
